Continued growth in the number of a motor vehicle has steadily increased the fuel consumption in recent years. Reserves of fossil used to produce fuels for internal combustion engines are limited and it is estimated that in the next 20 years to run out. Following the Kyoto Protocol are trying to replace polluting fossil fuels with fuels alternation, less polluting. The paper presents theoretical and experimental research on the influence of biofuels on power and soot emission of the engine fueled with biofuels. The results obtained from the simulation were compared with experimental ones.
