ESTIMATION OF ANGULAR VELOCITY SUBSEQUENT TO A PLANE IMPACT

The paper presents the methodology for evaluating the velocity of a ball following a plane impact. The estimative angular velocity value is required when the energy balance is made. The present method provides an approximate angular velocity but adequate to answer the question whether the angular velocity value influences significantly or not, the energy balance equation of impact process.
