this paper presents an approach to the fabrication flux lines specific to series fabrication, from the perspective of their equilibration. It often happens that the durations of the technological operations are quite different from each other, and these situations may lead to bottlenecks and significant waiting times, which have an adverse impact on the productivity. This paper describes how to use the computer application TECNOMATIX PLANT SIMULATION in order to reveal the dysfunctionalities that may occur during the operation of the fabrication system. Also, the solutions for balancing the fabrication lines can be found. One fabrication line for the production of an axle is analyzed. The software application TECNOMATIX PLANT SIMULATION yields a lot of useful information for the decisional factors in the management of the fabrication process.
