Productivity assessment of the Romanian construction industry using Malmquist Productivity Index

The construction industry is one of the largest economic sectors worldwide. It is essential that the firms operating in the construction industry to evaluate accordingly their productivity change both in economic depression and when there is registered an expansion in the economy. This paper investigates the productivity changes of the Romanian enterprises from construction industry during the period of 2006 through 2019 by using the Malmquist Productivity Index.
