The available range is one of the biggest issues regarding battery electric vehicles. In Formula student competitions, the endurance event requires the vehicle to be able to do 22 laps of a specific 1 km track. The possibility of finishing an endurance event must be analyzed during the development stage of any formula student vehicle to reduce the time needed for prototyping. This paper analyzes the performance of the vehicle during an endurance event using a specific battery configuration. Using theoretical calculations, a model in MATLAB was developed that allows the calculation of the energy consumption and battery temperature on the racetrack, based on the parameters of the battery.
