This paper presents a concise overview of a multisensor smart sofa developed by the authors and situates it within the broader state of the art. The proposed system integrates pressure and weight sensing, inertial and vibration measurements, temperature–humidity monitoring and a local user interface to detect occupancy, posture, shocks, mould-risk conditions and usage intensity.
