Compared with existing smart chairs, cushions and posture-monitoring systems, the proposed solution focuses on explainable models that can run on a resource-constrained microcontroller while still offering meaningful feedback to users and manufacturers. The paper summarises the data pipeline, the main AI modules and their implementation constraints, and discusses open research directions for AI in smart upholstered furniture.
